Baby Trees...

In true christmas-tree style, I decided that Lyla needed a baby tree next to the big tree. I pulled out one that I usually decorate with red and green ornaments and deemed it the Lyla tree. I bought her first "baby's first christmas" ornament and hung it on the big tree. But, Lyla's family members have been so generous and sent her multiple other "baby's first" ornaments, so I thought her little tree would be the perfect place for them. She loves looking at her tree! Special thanks to Elena, Tia Martha, Grandma Brown, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Brown, and Aunt Michelle for making her tree so cute!

Last year we announced whether we were having a boy or a girl on the blog by decorating a little white tree in appropriate colors. That tree lives on this year in Lyla's room. She loves looking at it when she wakes up in the morning.
Do you have any baby trees at your house?

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Friday Night Lights - A Poem...

The Friday night lights were back in full swing. Lyla arrived at the game asleep in her sling. All was well, the lights were bright. Little did we know that the end was in sight. The speaker came on and proclaimed domination. And that, dear friends, led to overstimulation. So we packed up our baby and checked on the time. The game started at seven-thirty, We left at seven-thirty-nine. The end.
