Well, Luc, you turned 10 months old and mommy didn't even realize it! June has been a whirlwind and so we're running a few days behind on everything. Anyhow, your past month hasn't been too shabby.
Once again, you've met your monthly PT goals and are becoming quite the poster child for early intervention. I don't know where you'd be if we hadn't have started therapy (or if our therapists weren't as good as they are). You are crawling more quickly, love standing, and are even starting to cruise. Your overall tone has really improved, although your shoulder girdle area is still weak. However, you have gained so much strength and coordination. We'll keep going to therapy for awhile longer, but I feel certain now that you will hit all your developmental milestones within an acceptable timeframe.
You have gained weight and are feeling so big. You weigh 16 pounds, 1 ounce. Some size 3-6 month clothes still fit (mostly dresses), and almost all 6-month outfits do. You can't wear 9-month outfits just yet.
You are happy, happy, happy. Except when I put you down on the ground. :-)
You love water, spoons, and Little People princesses. You've started expressing more of an attitude when your sister does something you don't like or when you want something you can't have. It's nice to see your little personality have a some spunk to it!
You are 'talking' so much more, which has really been reassuring to me. You sign 'milk' and have your own version of 'more' but aren't great at using either one consistently. Your favorite word is mama...thank you.
You are doing well with your foods despite some questionable texture and swallowing issues. You don't do well with dissolvable things. You have sounded congested for months now, so we're starting you on Singulair. I hope it will help.
You like to do the 'wawawawa' game in which I pat my hand against your mouth while you make the 'wawawawa' noise. (This makes perfect sense, right?!) You have also begun doing this yourself, which is entertaining.
We love you so much!
