Danger! Belly ahead!
Well, here we are at 35 weeks. My chubby face has definitely settled in for the rest of the pregnancy! Lucy's room is a work in progress, but just having the furniture makes me feel much better. She's still a busy busy girl with tons of 'things to do' during the day based on her constant movement. Everything has been progressing well at my doctor appointments. Other than anemia, the 2nd half of this pregnancy has been pretty decent.
Lyla loves to give Lucy zerberts (please google "cosby show zerbert" if you don't know what I'm talking about...go now, you have no clue what you're missing out on) and makes us laugh so hard when she does it. She asks about Lucy and talks about her all the time. I won't lie, I feel a little bad for Lyla and the way she has no clue how much her little world is about to change. But, she's such a sweet girl and so helpful that I think she'll be pretty good with Lucy. I'm personally going through a "it'll never be just Lyla again, she'll never be our only baby, etc, etc" weepy phase, but I think this is normal. (At least it is for a friend I talked to last week! She's a week ahead of me so we've been lucky to talk about random things.)
We're anxious but excited to meet Lucy and can't wait to introduce her to our family and friends. I am sure looking forward to the fall when the temperatures are cooler and I'm not pregnant and carrying around all my extra weight! (Fingers crossed that it comes off quickly and easily!)
