Join me again on the journey of no decent monthly picture...
Can't you see I'm busy?
I'm bustin' outta here...
No mom, I'm not ready!
- Lyla now weighs 15 lbs, 6 ounces! That places her at the 3rd percentile. She is 28 inches long, which is about the 60th percentile.
- She continues to do well on the prescription formula. Next month her GI doc wants us to do her "milk challenge" - this is where we'll introduce a small amount of normal formula and see what happens. I'm excited for her to try, but really nervous, too. It's hard to know that I'll be giving her something that could make her hurt :-(
- Lyla loves taking things with her wherever she goes. She pushes, drags, and carries things - it is so funny to watch! The best is when she thinks she's strong enough to lift things onto the couch. She's very determined, but never quite manages to launch her toys up like she plans.
- She's still afraid of most men. Especially those with facial hair. (Sorry Uncle Dru...someday she'll love you!)
- She says dada and mama all the time, and we think she's starting to use them appropriately for our names. Not quite sure yet, but it's exciting! She talks herself to sleep most of the time. I love listening to her conversations.
- Just tonight I decided that she was going to like the homemade food I spent all the energy making...only four gags this time! Progress. This is progress.
- And, most appropriately for new parents...Lyla laughs when we tell her no. She even claps. Sometimes she laughs and claps. Not a good sign for what's to come, huh?!
she's so cute marissa. i did have to laugh when i read the weight though. I just weighed mine yesterday and my biggest (who was my smallest at birth weighing 4 lbs) was 15 lbs 8 oz! so glad she is doing so much better though!!!!
