One Month...

This post is very delayed due to everything that has been going on, but I wanted to get it up before it's time for her two-month post!

At one month, Lyla...
- had just outgrown newborn diapers
- still fit (and sometimes didn't fill out) her newborn clothes
- weighed just under 8 pounds
- had met all her grandparents
- expressed clear preferences...yikes!
- had been to the doctor for weight loss, a possible staph infection (which turned out to be a different skin reaction), had been treated with both oral and topical antibiotics, developed colitis and subsequently requested that she and mom go on a dairy-free and soy-free diet...goodness gracious - what a month!

July 20, 2014 Afternoon:  Well, we moved down the hall to a different ICU room.  Our new nurse is like a drill sergeant grandma…sweet but serious. Friday Night Lights - A Poem...

The Friday night lights were back in full swing. Lyla arrived at the game asleep in her sling. All was well, the lights were bright. Little did we know that the end was in sight. The speaker came on and proclaimed domination. And that, dear friends, led to overstimulation. So we packed up our baby and checked on the time. The game started at seven-thirty, We left at seven-thirty-nine. The end.
